Hi! My name is Amber Miraya-Reyes! By trade I am a boutique marketing strategist, photographer and educator at Miraya Creative Studio. In 2023 I was feeling overwhelmed and burnt out with social media and the hustle culture. As I began prioritizing my self-care I found my comfort in the presence of my beloved Olde English Bulldog Rudi. Together we began creating content and Doggo Idaho was born as a safe and fun passion project on Instagram. When we began this journey together we took to all the pet friendly places and activites that Idaho had to offer. Except there was one little thing that I didn't quite account for in our adventures... Rudi is an extremely reactive and anxious doggo. With my hopes and dreams of traveling through Idaho together in a sprinter van crushed I began to look for other ways to create in the dog space so I could selfishly continue to pet all the dogs. And that is when the good Lord connected me to Lake Lowell Animal Rescue.

You see as a photographer I had this dream of creating a calendar of rescue dogs in an effort to build my pet portfolio and help raise money for local rescues. In the planning process of our calendar I flipped the "EXTRA" switch and pitched an idea for a fine art show featuring rescue animals alongside their humans showcasing the loving bonds throughout time. I named this collection 'Timeless Love' and proudly displayed over 70 pieces of art at a live gallery event featuring and benefiting Lake Lowell Animal Rescue. This project is one of the highlights of my photographic and professional career. We met, photographed and fell in love with a community of animal lovers and advocates throughout the Treasure Valley. 'Timeless Love ' sold over 136 Tickets to the event and raised over $5k for Lake Lowell Animal Rescue. All of this was possible thanks to the generous outpour in the pet community to spread awareness and advocate for rescue animals everywhere!

On my mission to make an impact I was introduced to the sweetest rescue pup, Monty through Take Me Home Rescue. He came into my studio to have his portrait made in an effort to help him get adopted. It was immediate love for my entire family and while we were not looking for another doggo we certainly could not deny that Monty was looking for, deserving and certainly worthy of having us as a family of his own. In April of 2023 we adopted Monty into our family and his story lit a fire in our bellies as a family to advocate and help save the Monty's of this world here in the Treasure Valley and beyond. We began opening our hearts and our home to Foster and we are committed to spreading the good news about foster and adoption programs within the rescue mission. We are so proud to be on this mission with the good folks at Lake Lowell Animal Rescue and we look forward to meeting many more rescue organizations in Idaho and around the world.

Doggo Idaho is a brand with a social impact. When you support me as a small media business you are helping me provide media resources for rescue so we can continue to help dogs get seen, heard and ultimately rescued! We have so many ideas as we expand the brand reach of Doggo Idaho. What started as a passion project has turned into a purpose for our entire family.
